Are you ready to spark your potential and take the next step in your career? The Career Development Center is here to help you connect your aspirations to a career path and plan that complements your strengths and interests. Through one-on-one coaching, we work with students to explore the possibilities for careers and grad school.
By partnering with numerous employers, we connect the Wolf Pack with exciting career opportunities, such as internships and part- and full-time jobs. You can learn more about these opportunities through our job and internship board, career fairs, and other career-related events.

Meet With a Career Coach:
Each student is assigned a career coach to support you through individualized 1-1 career coaching. We can address topics such as:
- Connecting your major to career options
- Finding an internship to gain experience before graduation
- Creating compelling personal branding documents like your resume
- Preparing for a career fair
- Writing a personal statement for graduate school
- Practicing interviewing skills

Check the Job and Internship Board:
Handshake houses a job and internship search engine for Loyola students and alumni to discover exciting career opportunities. In addition to job postings, it includes:
- Your personal profile page to tailor toward your career interests and a space for your resume to be uploaded, so you can apply to selected positions with ease
- Events from the Career Development Center, such as recruiter visits to campus, career fairs, workshops, and many more resources
- Search features that automatically email you when a new position is open that fits your established criteria
Complete a Career Assessment:
The Career Development Center offers several assessments to help students in their career exploration process. These vocational assessments indicate how your personality, values, talents, and interests can link you to potential career fields and give you the tools to explore the various fields available.
Not sure where to begin? No problem! Complete the FOCUS 2 career and major exploration self-assessment. FOCUS 2 is a comprehensive and reliable career and education decision-making model that will help you select your major, make informed career decisions, and take action. The system is customized with Loyola’s majors and your assessment results are matched to career options and majors/programs at the university.
